Treat your body and mind with the kindness you'd show to a friend!

Hello and hope you're all doing well.
In consideration of World Mental Health day I believe we should all treat our body and mind with the kindness we would show to a friend rather than berate ourselves for any perceived shortcomings. Consider all the things our body has enabled us to do and our mind has enabled us to experience. With care, consistency and positivity we are all incredibly capable beings! Our mindful movement practice together is more important than ever to help support us at these times and our classes are a safe space for you to be you. I know I talk a lot but I'm always happy to listen too!
This week was a little milestone for me as I have now uploaded over 200 Zoom class recordings to Vimeo! I didn't record the first few when we switched rapidly to Zoom during initial crisis mode but we've all shown our resilience in adapting and making the best of the times we find ourselves in. If anyone has said to me last year that I'd be teaching so much online, I'd never have believed them!
I'm enjoying the balance between our in person matwork and studio sessions as well as our Zoom classes although I'm looking forward to taking a short break for the October half-term week of 26th October 2020. We have 2 more weeks of the current block of classes with booking forms and details to come soon!
We're also discussing and planning some half-day, probably Sunday mornings Pilates and nutrition retreats and Place Eight Wellness - I'll keep you all posted once the details are confirmed!
