Matwork Group Classes
Every Pilates session with me will help you to connect to your breath, release tension, increase mobility and build strength and resilience through body and mind. We devote plenty of attention to the spine and posture, as well as shoulders, hips and our peripheral joints to ease any aches and pains.
Let's work together to help nourish our body and mind with intelligent movement patterns.
We all need to begin somewhere and there's no need to be flexible or have amazing core strength to get started - we can work on that together. We'll take the time to get to know each other so I can build your sessions based on your needs. We'll begin with the building blocks of more basic exercises including Pilates breathing, body alignment and connecting to our centre. We will gradually layer on more complexity and playfulness as you become more acquainted with the movements. I will meet you where you're at on any given day, some days we may need to slow the pace and listen to the needs of your body, other days we may be able to discover and appreciate that we're much more capable than we may think.
Whether you're in a studio or online Matwork class or you're working 1:1 or 2:1 with me at the Equipment Studio I will be constantly checking in with you and very willing to modify or suggest alternative exercises based on your individual needs and goals. Every session will help you feel better and at ease and the real beauty of the method is that it's not just in your class that you'll feel the benefits, you'll begin to re-program your movement habits which will help you with daily activities as well as empower you to make good movement decisions and keep doing whatever else you love to do!

All mats and equipment are provided for face to face classes, you may wish to bring your own mat to place on my mat and/or a towel to place over cushions or blocks. For online classes we can adapt with whatever you have to hand!
